We’re jammin’ (berries)! The Crafters will be making jam in the St. John’s kitchen. There are only a few spots left so reserve your spot now by contacting Angela Kalyta via the St. John’s Crafters facebook page.
Bring your own recipe & supplies (your berries, sugar, jars, etc.). We will supply the pots and Joan is bringing some special equipment we will need for sealing and boiling the jars of jam.
Cost: $6.25 - $10 per person (kitchen rental) plus a donation of a portion of your jam production to the St. John’s Christmas Market fundraiser. The more people making jam, the less expensive the kitchen rental cost will be per person.
Pro-tips: Joan suggests preparing the berries beforehand (wash, cut, mix with sugar, etc.) to make it easier to transport your supplies to the church. You can also buy your berries early if they are on sale, prepare them, and freeze them. Strawberries should be on sale at this time. Finally, bring strong bags to carry the jam jars home - broken jam jars are no fun!
