Welcome! If you are new, here’s some information that might be helpful.
Friendly faces will greet you as you enter the church to welcome you and hand you a bulletin (a small booklet that tells you what is included in the worship). When you enter the sanctuary (located upstairs), please sit where you feel comfortable. We have a child friendly space at the front of the sanctuary as well as at the very back. All ages are welcome in worship! The worship itself is about an hour, give or take, at 10 am on Sunday. We switch languages every other week - one week in English, the next in English and German (with English translations in the bulletin).
The pattern of our Sunday morning worship is like this:
We gather - in Jesus’ name to worship the Triune God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit)
We hear God’s Word - through the reading of scripture and the pastor’s sermon (hymns will be sung and prayers will be prayed for the church, for creation, for those in need, for the life of the world.)
We are fed at the table (Holy Communion, the Lord’s Supper, the Eucharist) - we come to Christ’s table to be forgiven and fed as we receive bread and wine* - Christ's body and blood. *Gluten-free wafers and grape juice are available, too.
We are sent out - Forgiven and freed by God’s grace, we are sent out to serve the world that God so loves.
After worship is over we move into the Parish Hall (downstairs) for Coffee Hour. This is an informal time to meet newcomers, have conversation, and to catch up with one another!
